clean-exhaust
soot reduction system
Patent No. US9074503, International #61/638,669
Vessels equipped with diesel engines or generators, fitted with gas/water separator mufflers, often contend with soot and particulate residue on their hulls and in the surrounding waters. The clean-exhaust system offers an efficient solution without causing any engine back pressure.
Our innovative clean-exhaust system has been thoughtfully designed, boasting a long service life and extremely low power consumption—equivalent to that of a standard light bulb. Its adaptable configuration allows it to fit various engine room space requirements. The dosing pumps and electronics can be placed remotely from the ecoBrew™ storage tank, making it highly versatile. A typical installation is completed in just three days by our experienced system specialists, and monthly maintenance is minimal.
The clean-exhaust system injects ecoBrew™ into the generator's raw water cooling system just before the spray ring. Here, ecoBrew™ binds the particulate matter in unburned fuel to seawater. This emulsified soot then passes through the gas/water separator muffler, biodegrading as it dissipates away from the vessel's hull. The resulting gas exhaust released into the air contains minimal or no particulate matter, ensuring a cleaner waterline on the vessel, no floating sludge in the water, and fresher air for the owners, crew, and guests to breathe.
As part of the clean-exhaust system installation process, we recommend a thorough cleaning of the vessel's exhaust piping and muffler. This initial cleaning leads to immediate positive results when the clean-exhaust system is activated.
With over five years of rigorous testing on various vessels, accumulating thousands of operational hours under the scrutiny of highly trained engineers, clean-exhaust stands as a trusted and proven solution.
clean-exhaust was born from the collaboration
of an engineer and a seasoned captain
who recognized a need and rose to the challenge.
Now, it's your time to EMBRACE THE CLEAN.
ecoBrew™ fuels the clean-exhaust system.
According to the US EPA, "The components within ecoBrew™
adhere to the EPA's Safer Choice standards."
ecoBrew™ holds full approval and compliance for utilization and environmentally safe discharge by both the EPA and MARPOL Annex III and V, ensuring eco-friendly practices.
